How scoring works

Every day you get 5 clues, the same for everyone. Tap the place on the map. The closer you are, the more points you earn, up to 100 per question.

Points by distance

Later questions count more

The best possible day is 1,000 points.

Colour tiers

• 🟩 Perfect: 100 points (within 15 km)
• 🟢 Great: 90 to 99
• 🟨 Ballpark: 50 to 89
• 🟥 Far off: 1 to 49
• ⬛ Wrong end of the planet: 0

Tiers use the base points, before the multiplier.

Leaderboard and streaks

• Sign in with your email to put your score on the daily leaderboard. We email you a code; there is no password.
• Your leaderboard name is the first 7 letters of your email's first part, with a number added if it is taken.
• Only your first score each day counts. Ties go to whoever finished first.
• A new round starts at midnight India time (IST).
• Your streak counts days in a row you finish the round. Miss a day and it resets.

Map codes

The map shows two-letter codes instead of names, so the clues stay a challenge.

What we collect

• If you just play: nothing is sent to us. Your guesses, scores and streak stay in your browser's local storage.
• If you sign in: your email address, the display name we make from it, and your daily scores and results. We also keep a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in for 60 days.

How we use it

To send your sign-in code, run the leaderboard and keep your streak. We do not sell your data and do not send marketing email.

Who else sees it

• Your display name and score are public on the leaderboard.
• Map imagery is loaded from a map tile provider, which sees your IP address like any website you visit.
• Hosting and email are provided by Hostinger.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time from the footer link "Delete account" while signed in. This permanently removes your email, name, scores and sessions. You can clear local data in your browser settings.
